Yuko Kuroki now a three-time champion

Yuko Kuroki W10 Ye Kyeng Seo...  Yuko Kuroki is now a three-time champion. On Tuesday at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, she won the vacant WBA minimumweight championship with a ten-round unanimous decision over Ye Kyeng Seo of Korea on Tue. After ten rounds of action, the home fighter earned 96-94 scorecards from all three judges to win the 105-pound title. Kuroki had prior reigns as WBC minimumweight champion from 2015-2017 and WBO atomweight champion from 2023-2024. Kuroki’s goal was to become a champion again after losing her 102-pound title last January to Eri Matsuda by split decision. Getting this opportunity, she knew she did not have an easy challenge against the Korean but she was able to take the victory.  With the victory, the 33 year-old Japanese fighter reached 24 wins against 8 defeats and 2 draws. The previously untested Seo, fighting outside of Korea for the first time, now has a record of 7 wins, 1 loss and 3 draws.
