He will be defending his secondary title against Abass Baraou (16-1, 9 KOs), this Saturday, August 23rd on the MVP Fight Night card at the Caribe Royale Resort. Téllez, originally from Santiago de Cuba and now fighting out of Stafford, Texas, knows he’s facing one of the toughest challenges of his career, but he welcomes the test with confidence. “Abass Baraou is a strong, technical fighter with a lot of heart, but I’ve never been afraid of tough opponents.
