World Boxing Hall Of Fame Comes Inland

PRESS RELEASE: The World Boxing Hall of Fame announces its 28th Annual Banquet of Champions Dinner and Memorabilia Show, to be held on October 13, 2007 at The Doubletree Hotel, Ontario, California.  This years’ class of 2007 inductees will include in the Boxer Category:  Former World Heavyweight Champion Larry “Easton Assassin” Holmes, former Junior Flyweight Champion Ricardo “Finito” Lopez, former Middleweight Champion Gerald “The G-Man” McClellan, Alvaro ‘Yaqui” Lopez, and Efren ‘Alacran’ Torres.  In the Expanded Category: George Benton, Steve Albert, and Joe Cortez.  In the Posthumous Category: Lily Rodriguez, Dick Sadler, and Jose Vazquez De la Torre. 

“After holding our Banquet of Champions for 27 years in the Los Angeles area,” said WBHF President Adolfo Perez, “We are honored to be here in the Inland Empire.”  The World Boxing Hall of Fame will also be having its memorabilia show and autograph show the same day from 10am to 3pm at The Doubletree Hotel.  Admission will be $10 for adults, children under the age of 12 will be admitted for free.  Hall of Fame Boxers and past and current World Champions will be available for autographs at the show.

A press conference will be held at San Antonio Winery in Ontario, California, Thursday, October 11 at 11 a.m..  Present will be members of Class of 2007 of The World Boxing Hall of Fame and Past Inductees.
