Sheffield fan favourite Clinton Woods will make thfirst defence of his IBF light heavyweight title in his home town, it was announced today. The BBC says Wood will face Julio Gonzalez on September 9, 2005 at the Sheffield Arena. Woods is looking to beat Gonzalez and then move onto the real light heavyweight world champion, Antonio Tarver. Gonzalez is no walk in the park, though. He is 38-2 and has defeated the likes of Dariusz Michalczewski.
