The amateur boxing community is mourning the death of Becky Zerlentes, who passed away after being knocked out in the third round of an amateur bout in Colorado over the weekend. Zerlentes was 34. Stacy Young perished after a Toughman contest in Florida in 2003. According to the Associated Press, a Johns Hopkins study found that there are seven sports that result in more casualties per participant than boxing.
