Press Release: IBF number-one ranked cruiserweight, Steve “USS” Cunningham got the word on Tuesday that he will be going back to Warsaw, Poland to challenge Krzysztof Wlodarczyk on May 26, 2007. Cunningham (19-1, 10 KO’s), lost a split decision last November 25th in Warsaw against Wlodarczyk. “Although it is my preference to fight in a neutral county, I am excited about the opportunity for the rematch. The people of Poland treated me with a lot of respect when I was there in November. What happened in November is over and done with and I have been focusing on the rematch ever since the IBF did the right thing and saw my protest through. I had a slight setback with my shoulder by its all systems go for the USS Cunningham to deploy to Poland.”
