BoxingTalk: Winky, how is preparation for Bernard Hopkins going for you?

Winky Wright:  Great, everything’s going great.  Boxingtalk. Looking out for your boy, G. Leon.  What’s up baby? 

BoxingTalk:  What do you feel is your biggest advantage coming into your fight with Hopkins?

Winky Wright:  I feel I’m a better fighter, period.  So my advantage is just being me.  I think Bernard is a great fighter. He’s tough, and he knows how to win.  That will be the obstacle I’m going to have to overcome - making him realize he can’t win the fight.

BoxingTalk:  Do you feel his experience will play a factor at all?

Winky Wright:  We both have experience.  We’ve both been in this game for a long time.  We both know how to win, so that’s going to be what the fans want to see.  Who can outsmart the next one?  Who can oppose their will?  And who can win the fight?

BoxingTalk:  How about the increase in weight for you?  How do you feel that will effect your fighting?

Winky Wright:  Well, it won’t effect me.  You know, I’m not increasing my weight that much.  He’s going to be a much bigger fighter, and so be it.  I just gotta do what I gotta do to win, and take all of his advantages away from him.

BoxingTalk:  Do you feel Hopkins is coming in with more momentum after his big win against Tarver?

Winky Wright:  I hope so.  I hope he comes in thinking that I’m Tarver, and what he did to Tarver he’s going to do to me, because he’ll have a big surprise. 

BoxingTalk: Can we expect to see you do the same thing to Hopkins that you did to Felix Trinidad?

Winky Wright:  You’re going to see a great fight man.  I’m telling you, all the fans, if you can’t get here, don’t miss it.  It’s a throwback fight.  A lot of hype came with De La Hoya and Mayweather, but this ain’t no hype.  This is the real thing.  This is a real fight.  So all your fans who want to see a real fight, don’t miss it.  Get it on pay-per-view.

BoxingTalk:  What’s your prediction for the fight?

Winky Wright:  A win.  Winky Wright is going to win by any means necessary.
