Rubin "Hollywood" Williams vehemently denies that he was one of several fighters that avoided fighting Allan Green (20-0, 14 KOs), as reported on the most recent ESPN2 Wednesday Night Fights show."If they tried calling me, my promoter or manager," Williams responded, they must have dialed the wrong number because none of us were ever contacted about fighting Green. Right now we're in final negotiations for a major fight June 2, but once I'm past that we can set something up with Green." Green, despite being floored, stopped Donnie McCray (17-4-2, 10 KOs) in the sixth round of their main event fought in Oklahoma. Williams, rated No. 18 by the World Boxing Council, is promoted by Silverhawk Boxing, managed by Rider Boxing, and trained by Buddy McGirt. The Detroit native now fights out of Vero Beach, Florida.
