Former WBO 122-pound title holder Wilfredo Vázquez, Jr. returns to the ring for the first time since 2018, and the Puerto Rican will be doing it in hostile territory. The Puerto Rican Vazquez (25-7-1) will face Víctor “Pitufo” Proa, on Saturday, May 15th at the Hotel Villa Real in Ciudad Acuña in Coahuila. Vazquez's last fight was in June 2018 in Gómez Palacio, Durango, when he defeated another former champion, Cristian “Diamante” Mijares by knockout. Proa is 29-8-2 but has lost seven of his last eight bouts.
