Deontay Wilder KO1 Dominic Breazeale... Say what you will about Deontay Wilder’s technique, the man hits hard. Don’t ask Dominic Breazeale how hard though, because chances are he doesn’t remember. The WBC heavyweight champion needed less than a round to settle matters at Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York. Things seemed to have settled down after a fierce exchange from both fighters halfway through round one-- Wilder closed in for the knockout but Breazeale landed two good punches to back Wilder off. Just a few seconds later though, Wilder’s right hand came down the middle like a city-destroying dragon. By the time the back of Breazeale’s head hit the canvas, it was already understood that this fight was over, regardless of referee Harvey Dock’s ten count. Breazeale gamely tried to beat the count but was about two seconds slow and in absolutely no shape to continue. Official time of the knockout was 2:17. Source: Showtime
