Tokyo is gearing up for a championship doubleheader on September 27th at the Toyota Arena. One bout will see Takuma Inoue vs. Tenshin Nasukawa in a rematch for the WBC bantamweight crown. Meanwhile, Nasukawa earned his mandatory challenger status by stopping former champion Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada. The other title bout will see Ricardo Malajica vs. Tomoya Tsuboi for the vacant WBC super flyweight crown. Tsuboi, backed by an illustrious amateur career, has made a seamless transition to the pros, holding a pristine 3-0 record with one no contest. Known for his technical finesse, footwork, and exceptional ring control, the Japanese stylist aims to cap his meteoric rise in front of his home fans. However, standing in his way is the experienced Ricardo Malajica (17-2, 12 KOs), a proven fighter in high-pressure environments who boasts dangerous knockout power. Malajica travels into hostile territory determined to utilize his reach and punch power to the title belt back to South Africa.
