Weights From Lubeck

PRESS RELEASE: arena’s „RISING STARS“ are invading Lübeck tomorrow (Friday, September 21st). Today the 28 competitors for the 14 fights went over the scale in the ball room of famous Maritim Hotel Travemünde.

 

Olympic gold medallist and three-time World amateur champion Odlanier Solis will go into his 4th professional fight with 253.5 pds. He faces US-boy Marcus McGee (19-13-0, 9 k.o.s) who weighed in at 229.2 pds. McGee was accompanied by his stable mate Brian Minto who stated that he would love to fight one of arena’s heavy “RISING STARS” – maybe Solis – at one of their next events.

 

Solis’ fellow countryman Yurirorkis Gamboa went over the scale with 126.1 pds. The Olympic champion will step into the ring with strong Mexican Nestor Hugo Paniagua (17-4-1, 14 k.o.s) who weighed in at 123.8.

 

Germany’s most promising heavyweight prospect Steffen Kretschmann will fight with a weight of 234.1 pds. His opponent is Kazachstan’s Tolgat Dosanov who won 10 of his 15 fights and weighed in at 220.4 pds.

 

arena’s “RISING STARS” show will start off tomorrow at 6 p.m. One of many highlights will be the international German Championship Roman Aramian vs. Alexander Sipos.
