Weigh-in report from London

Conor Benn (17-0) and Samuel Vargas (31-6-2) jumped on the scale today in Stratford, London, ahead of their twelve-round welterweight main event on Sky Sports and DAZN on Saturday. Benn weighed in at 146.8 pounds and Vargas came in a shade lighter at 146.4... For the same show, Shannon Courtenay and Ebanie Bridges both cleared the bantamweight limit of 118 pounds for tomorrow's WBA championship fight. Courtenay, fighting in her home country, was reported as "117.14" pounds, probably meaning 117 pounds, 14 ounces. The Australian Bridges, seven years older than Courtenay at 34, came in at 117 pounds even. The WBA bantamweight title has not been contested since 2017. Courtenay is 5-1, while Bridges is 6-0 against weaker competition.
