Luis Alberto Lopez KO5 Mick Conlan ... IBF featherweight champion Luis Alberto Lopez got a huge win in enemy territory, traveling to Belfast, Northern Ireland and knocking out local hero Mick Conlan in round five. Lopez landed a right uppercut as Conlan bent low, putting Conalan flat on his back and out. This was Lopez's first successful defense, lifting his record to 28-2. Conlan, who was administered oxygen while still in the ring, Conlan falls to 24-5 (including the World Series of Boxing), but more concerning is the two violent knockouts he has suffered in the last fourteen months (Leigh Wood knocked him out of the ring last year).
