The IBF held a purse bid today at its East Orange, New Jersey headquarters for its next welterweight title fight, a mandatory bout between its champion Kermit Cintron and challenger Walter D. Matthysse. The winning bid was submitted by Warriors Boxing in the amount of $195,000. Under IBF rules, Cintron will get 85% and Matthysse 15% of the bid. Bobby Bostick Promotions, which claims promotional rights to Cintron, did not submit a bid, nor did any other promoter besides Warriors. No date has been announced yet for the fight. -Scott ShafferÂ
