Walter Wright's opponent named for ESPN fight

According to the Daily Telegram in Adrian, Michigan, local boy Dan Warren will travel west to the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington, where he will face Walter Wright, who gained national fame on the ESPN reality show The Contender. Warren is 8-0 but has never had anything even remotely resembling a test as a pro boxer. He is coming off a majority decision win against Chris Grays, 6-10, who had lost a few fights in a row coming in. Wright is 12-2 and lost to Cornelius Bundrage on The Contender's second season. He also defeated Vinroy Barrett and Andre Eason in Contender-related fights. The ESPN2 televised bout between Wright and Warren will be headlined by Bundrage against New Yorker Chris Smith.
