Vargas is far too good a fighter for that, I promoted his first fight and he was on the bill with George Foreman and what I'll never forget about that fight is, after he knocked the guy out early, he grabbed Lou Duva and said don't ever put me in with a chump like that again I want real fights. He's a kid who has the right attitude of a warrior and he'll fight anybody they put in front of him. Mayorga is joke for him to fight. Sergio Mora is the fight and there's a lot of history there. Vargas is the one who brought Sergio Mora to The Contender. Along with Rolando Arellano, he hand delivered him to the Contender and Mora got a lot of attention because of our respect for Fernando. The guy he delivered, the guy who went on to become the Contender champion is the guy he should be fighting. It's the perfect boxing story and a great fight for Los Angeles who cares a lot more about their East LA boy Sergio Mora than they do about the chicken wing eating, cigarette smoking Mayorga. And if they fight Mora they save themselves from having to hear Don King's buffoonery."
