All 20 fighters on Wednesday’s 10-bout WEC card at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino made weight Tuesday, including the participants in the championship doubleheader, which will air live on VERSUS beginning at 9pm ET / 6pm ET.
WEC Lightweight Champion Rob McCullough, who weighed in at the division limit of 155 pounds, is ready for his first defense against Rich Crunkilton, who checked in at 154 pounds.
“I’m gonna try to neutralize his game and finish him with strikes,” said McCullough of Crunkilton. “I’m here to stay for a while.”
The veteran Crunkilton, who has waited a long time for his chance at WEC gold, may have something to say about that.
“I never felt better, I’m 100%,” he said. “I’m just gonna fight him and do what I gotta do.”
WEC Bantamweight Champion Chase Beebe (135 pounds) and challenger Rani Yahya (134.5) also made weight for their five rounder on Wednesday.
