WBO Orders Brewster Vs. Whitaker, Holyfield Not An Option

WBO President Franciso Valcarcel has informed Boxingtalk.com that the Puerto Rican based sanctioning organization will be ordering negotiations between WBO heavyweight champ Lamon Brewster and leading available contender Lance Whitaker to commence immediately. If both sides are unable to come to terms within thirty days a purse-bid will be held ten days later. Brewster received special permission to the optional defense against Kali Meehan, therefore he will not receive another optional against Evander Holyfield or anyone else until after he makes the mandatory against Whitaker.
