THE BALTIMORE SUN WAS WRONG...WBC MADE NO DECISION YET

The WBC has given Vitali Klitschko a 90-day reprieve. The fragile titleholder will have knee surgery this week and will have to recover quickly as the WBC will allow him only 90 days to reschedule his heavyweight title his bout against Hasim Rahman without getting stripped according to the Baltimore Sun, Rahman's hometown paper. The WBC's extension frustrated promoter Don King who is so eager to stage a heavyweight unification tournament between Rahman, Chris Byrd, John Ruiz and Lamon Brewster that he issued a press release yesterday all but announcing the tournament would become a reality.  Klitschko has a torn meniscus that caused him to postpone the bout with Rahman for a fourth time. source: Baltimore Sun
