Press Release: The WBC has ordered negotiations to begin for the mandatory defense of cruiserweight world champion Jean Marc Mormeck of France against David Haye of England. If no agreement is reached, the WBC will call for a purse bid. According to the WBC, the winner of Mormeck-Haye will fight former world champion O'Neil Bell of the United States. Bell split two great battles with Mormeck, winning the first fight in the U.S. but losing the championship back to Mormeck is the rematch held in France.
