Sources close to the situation have informed Boxingtalk.com that the WBC Board of Governors has voted against sanctioning the  August 20 Fernando Vargas-Javier Castillejo bout as a WBC title fight, upholding their earlier decision to strip Castillejo of his title for refusing to fight Ricardo Mayorga.  We have also heard several RUMORS that the Board Governors had to hold  two votes in order to come up with their final position NOT to sanction Vargas-Castillejo, unfortunately, WBC President Jose Sulaiman was unavailable for immediate comment.
