: The World Boxing Association Board of Governors has mandated a lightweight world title-elimination bout between Ebo Elder of the United States and No. 1 contender Prawet Singwancha of Thailand. The WBA Board of Governors further mandated that Guilty Boxing begin negotiations immediately for this title-elimination bout and requested Guilty Boxing conclude these negotiations as soon as possible. It is anticipated the winner of the Elder-Singwancha fight will be the mandatory challenger for current WBA lightweight champion Juan Diaz. “We are extremely excited to be negotiating with all sides in order to make this world title-elimination bout a reality as quickly as possible,” said Jay Hassman, vice president for Guilty Boxing. Singwancha has a record of 26-2-1 with 16 knockouts while Elder has a mark of 22-1 with 14 knockouts.
