IBF/ WBO/ WBC 130-pound champion Alycia Baumgardner (pictured) is moving forward to unifying the world super featherweight championship with her WBA counterpart, Hyun Mi Choi. In an unusual move, the WBA announced it will conduct a purse bid on December 12th, in Orlando, Florida at the Caribe Royale Hotel as part of the WBA convention. Purse bids are usually reserved for mandatory contenders and usually are not used for unification fights. The WBA set the bidding minimum amount at US $120,000.00, with the winninbg bid to be split 50% for each woman of them due to their mutual status as champions. Choi has a record of 20-0-1 with 5 knockouts. Baumgardner, who recently defeated Mikaela Mayer by split decision to add Mayer's two titles to her collection, has a career mark of 13-1 with 7 KOs.
