The WBA has announced on its website that Derrick Harmon will travel to Argentina to face Jorge Castro in a light heavyweight elimination bout to be held on the WBA's Say No To Drugs show. That show is scheduled for May 26, 2005 in Buenos Aires' famous Luna Park. The WBA title is held by Fabrice Tiozzo of France. Castro, rated #12 in the Boxingtalk ratings has more wins than any active boxer. His record is 128-10-3. Harmon, Boxingtalk #25, has gone almost a year since his last fight, a split decision win over David Telesco. Though he hasn't done much lately, Harmon does list a 2002 decision win over current world light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson on his resume. Harmon replaces Lou Del Valle, who the WBA says demanded extra money after agreeing to the fight.
