Vitor Belfort has contracted the coronavirus and has had to pull out of this Saturday’s fight in Austin, Texas against Hasim Rahman Jr. Former UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy will now face Rahman this Saturday at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas on a show that wil broadcast live around the world on DAZN. “I’m excited man, this is my chance to show that I belong in the boxing world,” said Hardy. “I know plenty about the Rahman name as boxers, and I know he was preparing for Vitor, but I’m definitely confident and prepared to show people I can box.” Hardy has an athletic pedigree as a former NFL defensive end with the Carolina Panthers is 7-5 in mixed martial arts, with 6 of the wins coming by stoppage. Hardy, who stands 6'5", also had a win overturned after he used an inhaler between rounds. He has lost three in a row but in his corner will be former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs.
