BT:  BoxingTalk.com here with WBA 154 pound champion Joachim Alcine.  You're just coming off winning the title against Travis Simms, you had another fight a couple of weeks ago.  What is next for you?  Who are you going to defend the title against, and when will we see you on American television? "I don't know when American television will see me, but my next fight will be in April.  I don't know who I'm fighting."

BT:  Is it going to be in Canada, on Canadian television?

JA:  Yes, it's going to be in Canada.  Not on Interbox, but on Groupgym.

BT:  Floyd Mayweather and Corey Spinks hold titles at 154 pounds, would you be interested in fighting either one of them and unifying the 154 pound division?

JA:  I'm the WBA champion of the world, I'll fight with anybody.  I don't care who comes in my way, I'll take him.  I'm ready for anyone.

BT:  If you couldn't land a big name at 154, would you be willing to move up to 160 pounds and fight someone like Kelly Pavlik or Arthur Abramham who's looking to come over to North America and land a title shot?

JA:  I have to look for the weight.  First of all, I'm not a big 154, I'm a natural 147.  I don't know, if the money is there, maybe I could move up to 160, it depends.

BT:  If you could fight any fighter out there right now, who would it be?

JA:  I don't know who my choice opponent would be, I just want to fight Oscar.

BT:  Everyone wants to fight Oscar.  Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

JA:  Happy New Year.  Train hard, because you don't get success easily, you have to suffer for it.  Suffer in the gym and you will make it to the top.  You also have to have faith.
