BT:  Boxingtalk.com here with Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach.  Freddie, first of all I know that you can't comment on his preparation for this fight, but he didn't look as active as he usually is.  "I think he was not really challenged by Solis.  He was playing a little too much.  When he got cut, of course I told him to turn it up a notch.  Then it was right there when he wanted it.  I think he was going half speed with Solis until he got cut."

BT:   Do you think he was distracted with the Congress thing, and going up in weight?

FR:  Possibly.  With the weight he's been the same.  He's been 130 pounds for a while now.  The Congress thing could possibly be on his mind.  Pacquiao always seems to have some kind of distraction before his fights.  Usually it doesn't bother him.  You never can tell how good he could be or if he's really focused, because he does have his mind elsewhere right now.  One thing about Pacquiao, when he trains for a fight, he trains for it well.

BT:  Let's talk about your hectic travel schedule.  How did you make it in here today?  There were some people who were surprised to see you.

FR:  Everybody in Manny's camp knew I was coming tonight.  I don't know,  some people put something out there that me  and Justin were having problems.  I was on the phone with these guys every day or every other day.  I knew what he did every day, sparring and so forth.  Oscar gave me the day off a long time ago.  He likes Pacquiao, he's a fan.  He knew it was important for me to be here.  So, we took the day off. I gave Oscar the day off also, because he's training really hard and really well.  I fly back tomorrow to finish up the last few weeks of camp.

BT:  How's that camp going with the fight right around the corner?

FR:  Camp's going well.  Oscar's in great shape.  Sparring’s going well.  Shane Mosley has been helping us out a lot.  It's going well.  I'm very happy with where we're at right now.  I think we're ahead of schedule a little bit.  I expect good things in this fight.

BT:  I noticed they were passing out Gatorade earlier.  Did you use Gatorade in your corner?

FR:  No, no we did not.
