BT:  BoxingTalk.com here with the President of Duva Boxing, Dino Duva.  Mr. Duva, can you give us an update on what BoxingTalk reported about Maskaev and Peter is next?" That's true Maskaev and Peter is going to be scheduled as soon as possible.  All the talk about Vitalli, and everything else besides, is over.  Maskaev and Sam Peter will happen as soon as possible.  In fact I expect to be sitting down with Dennis Rappaport, Maskaev's promoter, in the near future to start negotiating.

BT:  Can you give us any information about a date and venue?

DD:  No, that stuff all needs to be worked out now.  This is something that we're going to work on very quickly, and studiously.  I'm just happy that Samuel is finally going to be getting his title fight, with no delays.  I'm really looking forward to it.

BT:  It goes without saying that this is an important fight for Peter, a lot of people consider him an uncrowned champion.  Give us your thoughts on Peter's maturation.

DD:  Samuel is an uncrowned champion.  In my opinion, he's the best heavyweight in the world.  He has been for a little while now.  He has to take it one step at a time, and prove it.  First he has to fight Oleg, and beat him.  Then he has to take each supposed champion, or top contender, and take care of them one by one.  Samuel's in a position now where he's ready to clean up the heavyweight division and bring it back to its glory days.  He's going to bring a breath of fresh air that the heavyweight dvision has needed for so long.

BT:  You mentioned that you thought Sam Peter is in a position to clean up the heavyweight division.  How important is that for the state of boxing, and how quickly do you think that could happen?

DD:  It's extremely important.  The heavyweight division is nowhere right now.  It's nowhere.  All it's done in the last 3 or 4 years is bullshit fights, bullshit mandatories, no unifications.  Samuel is a position now, and the timing is right, where I believe we can do a complete cleanup of the heavyweight division.  Samuel wants to be part of it.  I want to fight Maskaev, I want to fight Vitalli Klitschko, I want to fight Bladimir Klitschko, I want to fight he winner of Briggs-Ibragimov.  Samuel only wants those kind of fights.  No more bullshit fights in the heavyweight division.  Samuel is the guy to set things in the proper motion in the heavyweight division.  I'm just looking forward to it happening.

BT:  Do you think that this is something that could happen in 2007, despite all the politics, and like you said all the BS that goes around?

DD:  I think that by next year, if I have my way, Samuel Peter will be the undisputed unified heavyweight champion of the world.

BT:  Can you give us your thoughts on Sam Peter and Moskayev?  How do you see that fight playing out?

DD:  Oh, it's a good fight.  Maskaev is a veteran, knowledgable, proven fighter.  He has shown it time and time again, in the last couple of fights, that he can fight.  Samuel would never take anyone lightly.  Oleg Maskaev is the world champion.  Samuel will take this as his toughest fight ever.

BT:  Any type of prediction?

DD:  I like Sam Peter's chances.  As long as he wins. I'm not going to worry about how it happens.

BT:  If you don't mind switching gears for a moment, another fighter of yours, Kendall Holt, will be taking on Mike Arnaoutis later on this month on Showtime.  Can you ive us your thoughts on that?

DD:  Great fight.  A great fight between two of the future stars of the 140 pound division.  This is a breakout kind of fight.  Whoever wins this bout is destined to be a real player in the greatest weight division there is.  Kendall Holt and Mike Arnaoutis it's a mandatory.  It's an eliminator, the winner of this bout is guaranteed the next fight against the champion Ricardo Torres.  Two terrific fighters Kendall Holt and Mike Arnaoutis, both from New Jersey, the fight's in Atlantic City.  It's on ShoBox.  It's a terrific matchup, and a very significant matchup, because the winner is going to be a real player.

BT:  Would you like to give BoxingTalk viewers an update on any one of your other fighters?

DD:  Keep an eye on Mike Marrone, our undefeated young Italian heavyweight.  He's still young, he's still a baby.  He's going to be on the opening bout on ShoBox against another undefeated Irish heavyweight, Malichi Farrell.  It's a real throwback.  Undefeated Italian versus and undefeated Irishman.  Keep an eye on him and also keep an eye on Raymond Biggs Jr.  Raymond Biggs Jr. was a two time NY golden glove winner welterweight out of Brooklyn.  He's 5-0, five KO's.  I'm telling you this kid is going to be superstar within a year or two.
