Venezuela's Albert Ramirez seeks 20-0 next month

Undefeated Venezuelan light heavyweight Albert Ramirez is schedule for action in Montreal on February 6th when he steps into the ring of the Casino de Montreal, Canada to face Croatia's Marko Calic. Ramirez, a 32 year-old southpaw, had a good amateur career and has been a professional since 2018. In January of 2024, he defeated Artur Ziyatdinov by unanimous decision in Quebec, and then returned to his native country to face veteran Adam Deines, whom he defeated by knockout in seven rounds last August 23rd. That win improves Ramirez's record to 19-0. Calic has faced quality boxers and his only loss was to current cruiserweight title holder Badou Jack back in 2020. Calic, age 37, comes into this bout 15-1 overall, with four wins in a row, the three most recent by knockout.
