Sauerland to feature three other significant heavyweight clashes

Press Release: Sauerland Event has announced three heavyweight undercard bouts for this Saturday's big heavyweight title show in Berlin.  The main event will feature a rematch between Nikolai Valuev and John Ruiz for the vacant WBA world title. Valuev won their first bout via a close decision but Ruiz has a different trainer this time around, Manny Siaca, Sr.  Supporting the main event will be Francesco Pianeta (16-0) against Scott Gammer (18-2-1), who will clash for a vacant regional title. “I will not miss out on the opportunity to become the new EU champion,” a confident Pianeta stated. In a third heavyweight contest on August 30th, Cengiz Koc (23-3), coached by  Oktay Urkal, and Rene Dettweiler (22-1) will battle out an internal Team Sauerland duel. “Only a win will help me to move up,” said Dettweiler, who will have Otto Ramin in his corner for the first time. “We have been working together very well,” Dettweiler added. Finally, world-rated Kali Meehan (34-3) faces Dominque Alexander (17-5-1).
