Michael Gomez Jr. D12 Louis O'Doherty... Lightweights Michael Gomez Jr. and Louis O'Doherty fought to a majority draw, but it was a horrendous decision that saw Gomez get robbed. What were these three judges thinking? O'Doherty, at best, won three rounds, which is being generous. Gomez (23-2-1) was more active and landed the harder shots. O'Doherty (12-0-1) didn't do much of anything to win enough rounds. You know the result is a robbery when Gomez stormed out of the ring, and O'Doherty looked relieved. Official scores were 115-114 Gomez and 114-114 (twice). O'Doherty remains the British champion.
Bakhodir Jalolov W10 Solomon Dacres... Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Bakhodir Jalolov defeated Solomon Dacres by unanimous decision. After ten rounds, the scores were 99-90x (twice) and 99-91. "The Big Uzbek" Jalolov dominated from start to finish. He scored a knockdown in the fifth and looked to be ready to put Dacres out. Instead, Jalolov was content to box, and that was just about it. While it is about getting wins, you need to entertain in the process. Jalolov failed to do that. It may be tough to get him a big bout due to his fighting style
Adam Olaniyan TKO2 Dan Garber... A destruction by Irish heavyweight Adam Olaniyan (5-0). His power proved to be too much throughout. Olaniyan dropped the 41 year-old Dan Garber (14-10) twice in the second to close things out.
Nelson Birchall defeated Levi Giles by TKO at 0:51 of the seventh round.
