Ubaldo wins battle of Hernandezes

Ubaldo Hernandez W10 Ivan Hernandez... Ubaldo Hernandez had lost eight of his last nine, but on Friday night in Puerto Rico, he proved he is still a dangerous spoiler. He was matched against Ivan Hernandez, a Colombian with a built up record and he came away with a majority decision, 98-92, 96-94 and 95-95.  Ubaldo, who in 2001 gave current WBA lightweight titlist Juan Diaz his toughest fight and arguably deserved to hang the only L on Diaz's record, improves to  20-16-2, while Hernandez falls to 21-2 and should be dropped from all sanctioning bodies' ratings. source: Solo Boxeo on Telefutura

Juan Manuel Lopez TKO3 Luis Bolanos... Luis Bolanos, who lost two world title shots, which was two more than he deserved, lost his fourth straight when he quit after three rounds claiming a hand injury. Lopez, a 2004 Olympian fighting as a featherweight, improves to 7-0, but all this boutdid was to further expose Bolano, a misleading 41-5, as a pretender rather than a contender.  source:  Solo Boxeo on Telefutura

Alex De Jesus TKO3 Cristian Lopez... Another Puerto Rican Olympian improved to 7-0 with a third-round stoppage as lightweight Alex De Jesus proved to be too much for Cristian Lopez, 5-2. Lopez quit after three rounds. source: Solo Boxeo on Telefutura
