Tyrone Brunson: I'd love fights with Tony Harrison or Julian Williams

GL: Congrats on your victory, can you give us some thoughts on your performance? Thank you. I'm going to give my performance a C+. I fought a rugged tough guy that came to fight, but I also came to fight and I knew I had more than he had. I put in a lot of hard work in the gym and on the road for that fight. GL: Was there anything about Quarles that surprised you at all? Not really because I had sparring just like him. I knew the overhand right going to come and I knew he was going to keep throwing it. He was doing a lot of dirty tactics on the inside that I didn't really like, but this is boxing so I just dealt with it.

GL: The last time we spoke you said it was time for you to get ranked. Do you feel like you did enough last night to get that world ranking?

Tyrone Brunson: "Yes sir! Next up could be Justin DeLoach or whoever. I need some hardware in my life."

GL: Did you speak with Marshall after the fights, when are you hoping your next fight takes place?

TB: "I haven't spoken to Marshall yet, I spoke to him after the fights, but it wasn't about boxing it was just congratulating me after the fight. Hopefully within in the next week or two I should know."

GL: When would you like your next fight to take place?

TB: "May or June, hopefully May."

GL: Are you disappointed that it was a split decision, do you feel you did enough to get a unanimous decision?

TB: "I think it could have been 5-3 or 6-2 for me, that's how I had it."

GL: You gave yourself a C+. What do you have to do the next time around to give yourself a better grade?

TB: "Just keep my hands up more and kind of dictate the pace more. I kind of fought his fight instead of fighting the fight I worked on fighting."

GL: When I spoke to Marshall, he said he feels you're ready for championship level guys like Julian Williams and Tony Harrison. Are you on the same page with Marshall there?

TB: "Oh yes, I would love both of them. I see me winning both fights, I wouldn't want to do the Philly-Philly thing, so I kind of prefer Harrison, but if we have to make an all Philly fight I'm ready for that too. This is a business and it is what it is."

GL: Do you see either of these guys taking a risk with you when they're both coming off of stoppage losses?

TB: "I hope they do want to take the risk, I really do."

GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

TB: "I'm right back in the gym, I'm going to continue to work on my craft and when I get that call I'll be ready for anybody. Everybody can follow me on IG @ty_tnt_215 I want to thank everybody to came out to the SugarHouse for supporting me, I want to thank Marshall, my trainer Fred Jenkins and the ABC Gym, and thank you too."
