Tsypko to face Gogiya in meaningful super middle clash

Press Release: Vitali Tsypko is convinced he will defeat David Gogiya on September 29, 2007 when the two super middleweights clash in Oldenburg, Germany on a show to be headliend by Nikolai Valuev. The Ukrainian southpaw (20-2, 11 KOs), who lost a controversial majority decision to Jeff Lacy back in December 2006, has set the bar high. "I want to become world champion," the former European titlist said. "I've started my preparation six weeks ago in my home Dniepropetrowsk and then continued on Crimea. Since September 16 I am doing the fine-tuning in training camp in Kiev. I know it won´t be easy to beat him. He is very strong and has defeated good fighters such as Jackson Chanet and Mger Mkrtchian." Gogiya (18-2, 4 KOs) lost his European super-middleweight title to Cristian Sanavia earlier this year. In the main fight, former WBA champion Nikolai Valuev will face unbeaten Canadian Jean-Francois Bergeron.
