British junior middleweights Troy Williamson and Nav Mansouri will go head-to-head on October 12th. The two men will battle live on BT Sport at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, on the undercard of Josh Warrington’s IBF featherweight title defense against Sofiane Takoucht. Williamson (11-0-1 plus four losses in the World Series of Boxing, 8 KOs) returns to the scene of his last victory, where he defeated Edwin Palacios by knockout back in June to extend his unbeaten record. It was his third straight knockout win, following stoppage victories over Ionut Trandafir Ilie and Kevin McCauley earlier this year. Mansouri (20-2-2, 6 KOs) was victorious this past weekend, as he warmed up for the October clash by defeating [designated loser] Wilmer Gonzalez in Marbella, Spain. Mansouri also holds wins over the likes of Sam Sheedy, Matthew Malin, Bogdan Mitic, Nathan Graham and Curtis Valentine during his career. The winner of the bout between Williamson and Mansouri will propel themselves onto the world stage, with big things potentially on the horizon.
