Wright: "I'm think me and Trinidad will fight next!"
Undisputed junior middleweight king Ronald "Winky" Wright contacted Boxingtalk.com after he, his attorney Jim Wilkes and "authorized representative", promoter Gary Shaw spent several hours in Florida meeting with Felix "Tito" Trinidad's promoter Don King last night. Wright explained that some key factors are still being negotiated between King and Shaw,  "but I think me and Tito (Trinidad) are going to fight each other next." Both Wright and his attorney Jim Wilkes stated to Boxingtalk that they prefer fighting in May or June. "April 9 is probably too close to promote a fight of this magnitude," said Wilkes. Shaw later told Boxingtalk he is "cautiously optimistic" that he and King will be able to come to terms shortly, while Wilkes got a bit more specific stating that something should get done in the next 48 hours.
