Although we've yet to get in touch with HBO PPV's Mark Taffet, several reliable sources have indicated to Boxingtalk.com that last weekend's fight of the year between Felix "Tito" Trinidad and Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga did approximately 400,000 PPV buys. Boxingtalk has left several messages with Taffet to confirm but he's yet to get back to us. At the post fight press conference Don King said "they gave me six days to promote my fight and they gave Arum six months." Without speaking with King, one wouldn't be embarrassing themself for thinking the high haired one is justifiably going to feel Trinidad-Mayorga would have been a much bigger PPV success had he received the same backing from HBO that Bob Arum's Top Rank gets.
