Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC reported:  "It is with deep sadness that we have been informed of the sudden death of trainer Diego Arua, a trainer from Argentina, who suffered a fatal heart attack during the Sabrina Pérez fight in Tijuana. The medical services personnel did everything possible but he died at the hospital." Age 58, Arua was working the corner of his wife, Sabrina Perez during her loss to Skye Nicolson. DAZN tweeted, "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of trainer Diego Arua, after his passing."
