In a shocking move earlier today, Top Rank Inc. bid $12.1 M to  earn the right to promote WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko's mandatory defense against former undisputed heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman.  Don King came in second at the purse offer bidding $11M. In other purse-bid news, several sources have indicated to Boxingtalk that DKP won the right to promote Chris Byrd's mandatory defense against mandatory challenger DaVarryl Williamson for $500,000 yesterday afternoon.
