OLN, in collaboration with leading boxing promoters Top Rank, today announced updated details of the network’s second live boxing event. The title fight for Fight Night’s second live telecast will feature undefeated Brian Viloria as he takes on Omar Nino in the World Boxing Council (WBC) Light Flyweight Championship fight at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas Thursday, August 10 at 9 p.m. ET. The telecast will also feature International Boxing Council (IBC) Middleweight champion Jose Zertuche as he takes on Carlos Bojorquez.
Viloria, 25-years-old, from Waipahu, HI known as “The Hawaiian Punch” is currently the WBC Light Flyweight champion. In 1999 he was named the World Champion, U.S. Champion, National Golden Gloves Champion and was USA Boxing’s “Boxer of the Year” in his division. In 1995 and 1996 he was the Junior Olympic boxing Champion and in 2000 he was part of the USA Olympic boxing team. The undefeated Viloria enters the ring to defend his WBC Light Flyweight title with a 19-0 record and 12 knockouts. Nino, 30-years-old, of Guadalajara, Mexico enters the ring with a 23-2-1 record and 10 knockouts. The match is scheduled for 12 rounds.
The updated August 10 undercard will now feature Jose Zertuche, 33-years-old, of Guanajuato, Mexico. He currently holds the title of IBC Middleweight champion and will enter the ring with a 18-2-2 record and 13 knockouts. Bojorquez, 34-years-old from Los Mochis, Mexico will enter the bout with a 26-8-6 record and 22 knockouts. The fight is scheduled for 10 rounds.
