Tonight (Saturday), the "Aztec Princess" Jackie Nava returns home to face Karina Fernández at the Grand Hotel Tijuana, to be broadcast by Azteca 7, the House of Boxing. Nava (37-4-4, 16 KOs) and “Fernández (14-5-1, 3 KOs) are set for ten rounds at super bantamweight. Nava, who has won championships in two divisions, will begin the celebration of her twentieth anniversary in professional boxing, as her pro debut was in May 2001. The 40 year-old Nava will also be looking to extend her unbeaten streak to 15, dating back to 2011.
Fernández has never been stopped, and of her five defeats, three have been against champions Lourdes Juárez, Linda Laura Lecca and Yamileth Mercado.
On the same show, Héctor “Tix Tix” Reyes (18-0 13 KOs) will step into the ring for eight junior middleweight rounds against Ramón “Cholo” Barajas (14-23, 4 KOs).
