Toney caught with steroids in system again

Batchelder also tests dirty

Last month, James Toney, originally a middleweight, defeated Danny Batchelder, a blown-up cruiserweight, in a lackluster heavyweight bout in California. The Associated Press reported today that both men tested positive for illegal steroids and as a result face a one-year suspension (measured from the date of the fight, May 19th). If the suspension stands, it would be a particular disgrace for Toney, who tested positive after what was initially a heavyweight title victory over John Ruiz. As a result of his past cheating, Toney was stricken from the list of heavyweight titleholders. Both men have thirty days to appeal the suspension. source: associated press
