In Tokyo on September 27th, local man Tomoya Tsuboi will attempt to win a vacant world title in just his fifth pro bout. The deserving Tsuboi is 3-0 with 1 NC but he is 30 years old and an amateur world champion from 2021. Tsuboi's second pro fight saw him stop and retire ex-champ Carlos Cuadra.  He'll face South Africa’s Ricardo Malajica for the WBC super flyweight championship. That title became available when Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez announced he will be moving up in weight. Tsuboi-Malajica will serve as a co-feature prior to a highly anticipated rematch between Takuma Inoue and Japanese superstar Tenshin Nasukawa for the bantamweight world title, where Inoue looks to repeat his previous triumph.
