New Castle’s Michael “No Joke” Stewart to headline Friday’s Card

New Castle, Del., product and world-renowned junior welterweight Michael “No Joke” Stewart, 37-4-2 (21 KOs) highlights what should be a very competitive main event against Omar Bernal, 25-6-3 (19 KOs).

Stewart boasts a perfect 5-0 record at Dover Downs Slots.

Stewart and Bernal share one common opponent, Dorin Spivey. Bernal earned a unanimous decision victory over Spivey in June 2003, while Stewart dropped a 10-round split decision in February 2002.

Two more New Castle boxers are also confirmed for the card, which is in the process of being finalized.

Lightweight Dave Evans, 8-1-1 (2 KOs), of New Castle, and Michael Stewart’s brother Richard, a heavyweight, brings his 4-1-1 (3 KOs) record to Dover for his Rollins Center debut.
