Fighting in his opponent's home country of Australia, Thurman decked Brock Jarvis twice en route to a third-round technical knockout victory. The contest was Thurman's first foray into the junior middleweight division. Thurman, now 31-1 overall, had not fought since a 2022 win over Mario Barrios, who went on to win the WBC title. Prior to the Jarvis win, Thurman had been inactive since a 2019 loss to the legendary Manny Pacquiao. Jarvis, who started his career as a bantamweight, is now 22-2. With a quality win under his belt, Thurman seems poised for a return trip to Australia against former junior middleweight champion Tim Tszyu.
