“IF, we can be accommodated 50/50 down the line, then of course
Boxingtalk.com recently spoke Philadelphia Jr. Middleweight prospect Anthony “The Messenger” Thompson 20-1(15) to get his thoughts on a possible showdown with undefeated Jr. Middleweight prospect Sechew “The Iron Horse” Powell 18-0(11). After hearing about Lou DiBella, Powell’s promoter offer to fight the 5’10” southpaw from Brooklyn, NY. Thompson had this to say “It is starting to get thrown out there too much now; I am starting to hear too much Thompson versus Sechew talk, now I’m about to start biting and feeding into it. For a minute I ignored it but now it is beginning to become a little too heavy, so if this is what they want I will give them what they want. IF, the money is right and we can be accommodated 50/50 down the line, then of course I will fight him,” then added “I have nothing against Sechew we are actually good friends, but this is a business” and continued “If this is what Top Rank and my manager (Cameron Dunkin) thinks the next move should be, then it has gotta get done.” Stay tuned for an exclusive one on one to follow.
