Today (Sep 7) there was to have been purse offers for the all German EBU heavyweight titlefight between Luan Krasniqi and challenger Timo Hoffman. However, the parties, Universum and Sauerland Event, have come to a last minute agreement. There will be an announcement later on when and where the fight will be staged.

Undefeated Polish lightheavy ace Tomasz Adamek takes on either Belgian Ismael Abdoul or American Demtrius Jenkins on Friday (September 10) in Warzaw. There are rumours that Adamek might be signed by Sauerland Event.

Italian former world champ Gianfranco Rosi goes for either the vacant IBF I/C 168 lb title or the vacant IBF Medittereanean belt October 16 or 24 in Belgrade (Serbia). The 47-year old fights with an Croatian license these days. While hardly an alltime great Rosi was with his exellent conditioning and awkward style tough man to beat and held the EBU, WBC and IBF titles at welter and jr middle in the late 80´s and early 90´s. He retired in 97 but came back last year and word is he´s in better shape than most younger fighters around today.

Italian cruiser Vincenzo Cantatore have vacated the EBU title to concentrate on a world title shot. The vacant title will be contested between longtime mandatory challenger Aleksander Gourov and Vincenzo Rossitto. Since there was several postponements for the Cantatore v Gourov contest the EBU have given only 15 days for an agreement or purse offers.
