Mark Heffron D10 Denzel Bentley... At York Hall in London's Bethnall Green, all three judges scored a middleweight bout between Mark Heffron and Denzel Bentley a draw. The trio of arbiters all had it 95-95, and a rematch is in the cards. Heffron (25-1-1) tweeted, "Really disappointed with the decision. I thought I’d done enough [to win]. Having only had two rounds of boxing in the last year, it took me a while to get going. My manager has already done a deal for the rematch so we will go again." Bentley (13-0-1) is also game for sequel, saying, "I feel asleep in the middle rounds. I want to put it right! Let's run it back."
Anthony Yarde TKO6 Dec Spelman... In a British light heavyweight dust-up, Anthony Yarde became the first man to stop Dec Spelman, with the referee waving it off in round six. Now 20-1, Yarde has won two straight since dropping a competitive WBO title bid to Sergey Kovalev. Spelman (16-5) also lost to undefeated Lyndon Arthur about six weeks ago, and now Yarde and Arthur are poised to fight each other later in the year. Yarde said afterwards, "Still more improvements to make but I’m happy with this victory." source for both results: social media
