Thai Boxers preparing to arrive in Manila

A maximum of 10  – including five fighters – from Bangkok, Thailand are scheduled to arrive three days prior to the staging of “War at the Zone” card at the Casino Filipino-Amphitheater in Paranaque City, Philippines on Nov. 27.

According to promoter Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde Jr., former Muay Thai champion Bangsaen Sithpraprom will lead the cast of Thai prizefighters that include two former Thailand national flyweight champions Wisanu Pornobnom and Samart Twingym.

Sithpraprom is set to see action in the main event of Family Rubbing Alcohol-supported card against former world champ Gerry Penalosa for the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) super-flyweight title.

Bangsaen, who stands 5-foot-4 like Peñalosa, is only 20 and unbeaten in 14 fights, seven of them via knockouts. As former Rajdamnern muay thai champ, he fought around 100 times.

“Everything is set for our November 27 installation,” said Elorde. “I believe, the Thai fighters are ready to rumble and oozing with confidence against their Filipino counterparts.”

The other Thai fighters that will also accompanied by trainers and their managers are Thailand No. 3 welterweight contender Jakrit (Suwanalert ) Thaweekoongym and Thailand No. 1 flyweight Yodsuk Windeesports.

Jakrit will challenge reigning WBF International champion welterweight champ Rey Pelonia while Wisanu will also try to steal the crown from WBF International flyweight boss Sukarno “Master Showman” Banjao.

Yodsuk, a substitute of another Thai Samransak Singmanassak, faces former WBC International light-flyweight king Juanito Rubillar while Samart takes on current WBO Asia-Pacific flyweight ruler Rexon Flore both in a non-title clash.

WBF president Mick Croucher will also arrive on the same day from Melbourne, Australia. He will supervise the bouts.
